A THERAPY event has raised £1,049 for victims of the Japanese tsunami.
With some cheques still to be received, organisers say the event, held at St Hilda's Vicarage, Buckthorne Road, Crofton Park, was a big success.
It included belly dancing, head massage, music and a range of therapies.
The St Hilda’s congregation also made a donation of £200 to the British Red Cross’s Japan Tsunami Appeal.
Organiser Kana Okada said: “Therapies were very popular. We were almost fully booked and had to turn away some people towards the end of the event. All the performances were wonderful and some people participated the workshops.”
She added: “I hope that our thoughts and heart will reach to people in Japan.
