THERE are long delays on the A2 this morning due to an accident near the Eltham tunnel.

It is believed a motorbike was involved in the crash which happened just east of the tunnel at around 6am.

The accident on the London bound stretch of the road between the A221 Danson Road (Danson Interchange) and A205 Westhorne Avenue is causing congestion to the A2018 Old Bexley Lane (Dartford Heath).

It is also causing problems on the opposite carriageway and causing congestion on the A207 Shooters Hill Road to the A102 (Sun in the Sands Roundabout).

The air ambulance was called to the scene but it is not yet known how many people were involved and how seriously they have been injured.

Munson says...

The pictures the news shopper has shown are not of the deseast but just his bike. This is very tragic and my heart goes out to his family but let this be a reminder to all bikers how easy it is to lose your life. No matter how good you think you might be on your bike drivers may not be
