POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a missing 25-year-old man from Lewisham.

Myha Grant is a patient at the Ladywell Unit at Lewisham Hospital where he receives psychiatric care.

The public is advised not to approach him as he is considered dangerous but to call 999 if they believe they have seen him.

Grant has gone missing before and has returned of his own accord but on this occasion he has been missing since Tuesday (April 12) and police are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

He is described as a black man with brown eyes, 6ft 6ins tall, with a shaved head and a gold tooth in the front right of his mouth.

Grant is known to have connections in Brixton, Stockwell and Lewisham.

He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured shirt, dark jeans and black trainers without laces.

Police Sergeant Joseph McDonald, from Lewisham borough police, said: "Myra is a distinctive man as he is over six feet tall and has a gold tooth.

“We are sure someone in Lewisham has seen him. We would like the public to contact us if they think they know where he is or if they have seen him.

"We would ask that you don't approach him as he is considered a danger to the public but rather ask that you call the missing person's unit in Lewisham on 020 8284 5063 or 999."
