FLAGS have gone up in Gravesend in anticipation of the royal wedding.
Gravesend Council strung up Union Jack and St George’s bunting along New Road, High Street and Windmill Street last week.
They mark the preparations for a street party and parade on the eve of the royal wedding at 10am on April 28.
The council is encouraging residents from Commonwealth countries to take part as Commonwealth nation representatives are invited to the royal wedding.
Following the parade, there will be a free lunchtime concert featuring a Queen tribute band and people are asked to bring along their own refreshments.
