ARMED forces rather than the Royal couple will be the centre of attention at one wedding day event.
Rather than a street party, the West Wickham branch of the Royal British Legion is holding a family fun day on April 29 to raise money for Help for Heroes.
An Elvis impersonator, stalls and a bouncy castle are among the planned attractions at the event which will run at the legion in Ravenswood Crescent, West Wickham, from 3pm to midnight.
Fun day organiser Jacki Ives said: “We wanted to do something for Help for Heroes and we are hoping to raise around £4,000.
“We have people whose sons are in Afghanistan and it is a cause close to everybody’s heart.”
Call the legion on 020 8289 0259 for more information.
