A LEISURE centre is inviting Lewisham youngsters to an Easter football camp.
Downham Health and Leisure Centre, in Moorside Road, Downham, has partnered with Millwall FC to offer boys and girls aged five to 13 a fun filled week of football.
The camp will run from April 11 to April 15 from 9am to 3.30pm.
Mornings will be spent in coaching sessions while the afternoon will be spent competing in mini-tournaments.
During the week there will be appearances from one of Millwall FC’s players and mascot Zampa the Lion.
At the end of the course each child will receive a medal and certificate.
Children who pay to attend the Easter football camp for £25 will get to attend one of the summer football camps for free.
There will be another week long camp from July 25th to July 29 and then August 1 to August 5.
Lewisham Council's cabinet member for community services, Councillor Chris Best, said: “During the school
holidays, it’s important to keep the kids in our community fit, active and healthy.
“Football camps such as the one we’re offering with Millwall FC are a great way of making sure local children make the most of their time away from school, keeping active, running around in the fresh air and making new friends.”
