Cabinet member for community services, councillor Chris Best, will compete against Lewisham Indoor Bowls Club

A LEWISHAM councillor has been challenged to take part in a friendly game of indoor bowls tomorrow (April 2).

Lewisham Indoor Bowls Club, based at the Indoor Bowls Centre in Kangley Bridge Road, Sydenham, will be competing against cabinet member for community services, councillor Chris Best, as well as her colleagues.

People are being invited to watch the game from 3pm.

Cllr Best said: “Bowling is an excellent way of keeping supple and active, and ideally suited to older residents.

“Not only is it a fun way of keeping fit but a great way of making new friends and meeting up with old ones. We’re inviting anyone who might be interested to come along and watch, and perhaps have a go too.”
