VICTIMS of Night Stalker rapist Delroy Grant have spoken of their 'humiliation' and fears they were going to be murdered.

Grant, from Brockley, preyed on elderly men and women in a string of sex attacks and burglaries during a 17-year campaign of terror.

The 53-year-old was today convicted of 29 offences in total which took place between 1992 and 2009.

The son of one victim said: “This has ruined the winter years of my mother’s life.”

An 84-year-old woman said: “I don’t have nightmares now, but I make sure I take certain measures. I have to leave a light on, I make sure all the doors and windows are locked, even in the summer. I cannot sleep if they are open because I think he will be able to get back in.”

Another victim, 83, said: “Thank you so much for telling me. Now I can go back to sleeping at night and being awake during the daytime.”

While an 88-year-old victim said: "I cannot emphasise enough my feelings of embarrassment and humiliation during the attack and subsequently.

"I feared for my life and believed I was going to be murdered.”
