A COLFE’S pupil showed true stamina to finish first at the south east region biathlon championships.
Millie Bach took part in the event, which was organised by Pentathlon GB and held at Medway Park Athletic Stadium, and started brightly by winning the 100m swim in the girls’ 13 and 14-year-old age group.
This was followed by a 1,500m run, where the Colfe’s youngster finished second, ensuring she gained enough points overall to claim top spot.
Bach was presented with a medal for best female swim and a trophy for coming first place in her age group.
She also received a voucher entitling her to a one-day taster session in shooting and fencing, which are also events in a modern pentathlon.
Bach is now through to the national finals on the Birmingham on May 8.
