Running youth is suspected garage fire starter
A YOUNGSTER was seen running away from a garage in Erith moments before it went up in flames last night (March 22).
Witnesses saw the boy leave the scene in Victoria Road at around 9.50pm and the fire then began to tear through the contents of the detached double garage building.
It destroyed around half of one of the garages but firefighters managed to stop the flames spreading to the other one.
They were at the property, which is at the bottom of a garden, for several hours and used a thermal imaging camera to make sure the fire was completely out.
