SPRING time became a lot more fun for one school in Horton Kirby as lambs came in to liven up a lesson.

Farmers from nearby Court Lodge Farm bought the two lambs into Horton Kirby Church of England Primary School in Horton Road last week.

It formed part of an educational visit to teach the youngsters about caring for animals.

Reception teacher Penny Raison said: "It was great to have the lambs in school.

“The children really enjoyed it and they got a lot out of it too.

“We stroked the lambs, watched them feeding from a bottle, and learnt a bit about farming, caring for animals and lambing time as well as talking about the signs of spring."
