A CHEMICAL incident which led around six fire engines, police and an ambulance being called to New Cross was a false alarm.
Amersham Road is reopening following the reported incident, which saw emergency services called out at 2.20pm to reports of a chemical spillage.
Fire fighters have confirmed a container, located in a shed, was not leaking after all.
