A 17-year-old boy died suddenly in the early hours of Saturday morning in hospital.
Louis Buxton, from Croydon, died at Croydon University Hospital.
It is believed the student at Langley Park School for boys in Bromley, was on a night out with friends.
At present it is unknown why he was taken to hospital or how he died.
A postmortem will be carried out today.
Friends of the student flocked to his school to pay tribute to him at school on Sunday evening. They carried white roses to honour the teenager.
