FOUR long-serving members of a Lions club have received awards for their services at an annual dinner.
The Northfleet and Ebbsfleet Lions Club celebrated its 38th annual charter dinner dance at the Manor Hotel, Singlewell, Gravesend.
Mike Parker, 68, of Tradescent Drive, Meopham, was presented with the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for 35 years of service by the district governor for south east district 105, Mike Howes.
Richard Harris, 86, of Hale Court, East Peckham, received an award for 40 years of service, while Clive Bushell, 70 and Trevor Irvine, 65 received awards for ten years’ service to the club.
The Mayor of Gravesham Councillor William Lambert attended the dinner, as well as the Mayor and Mayoress of Dartford Cllr Patrick Coleman and Doreen Coleman, and the Mayor and Mayoress of Swanscombe and Greenhithe Councillor Peter Harman and Jo Harman.
