GRAVESEND Ladies Hockey Club shared the honours with Bexleyheath & Belvedere in an entertaining draw.

The first half was evenly contested but BBHC managed to get onto the score sheet just before half-time give them a narrow advantage at the break.

Gravesend came back strongly in the second half and were soon on level terms when Sadie Clinch slotted home a penalty corner. BBHC replied almost immediately when they managed to convert their own penalty corner.

Gravesend rallied and Karen Taylor took a ball deep into the BBHC area.

When it looked as though the ball was going out of play, Hannah Kitchener popped up to push it into the goal to make it all-square again.

This spurred Gravesend on and with five minutes remaining they took the lead for the first time in the game when Sadie Clinch converted a second penalty corner with a perefectly chipped shot over the out stretched BBHC keeper.

However, there was still enough time for BBHC to have the last when they capitalised on a muddle in the Gravesend defence to score again.
