BROMLEY residents are being urged to register to take part in the referendum on the voting system to elect MPs.
Figures released by the Office of National Statistics last week show there are 237,268 people registered to vote in the borough.
However, there are some people who are not registered, meaning they will miss out on taking part in the referendum on May 5 unless they sign up soon.
Bromley’s electoral registration officer, Doug Patterson, said: ”Anyone who has moved house in the past few months needs to register with their new address.”
The referendum is on whether to adopt the Alternative Vote system, which sees voters pick a first and second choice candidate.
