POLICE have seized a mini motorbike from a 16-year-old boy after he almost crashed into a woman and her dog.
Officers from the Mottingham and Chislehurst North Safer Neighbourhood Team were called to Elmstead Woods after reports of the boy riding the bike in an anti-social manner.
When they arrived, the boy tried to escape but fell off the bike and was caught, and officers seized the vehicle after discovering it was uninsured.
The owner of the bike will now have to prove they have insurance and then pay £120 plus a £20 a day storage fee to get it back.
PCSO Kieran Cuffe said: "The use of these vehicles in this manner is not acceptable and we are aware it is causing distress and annoyance to members of the public.”
