A DARTFORD-based construction firm has completed a set of challenges to raise funds for two north Kent institutions.
Charity fundraisers from Willmott Dixon Construction, in Crossways Business Park, presented cheques last week to EllenorLions Hospices and the Firefighters’ charity after two fundraising events in the summer.
The first challenge saw six volunteers climb the three peaks - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon - in a day, raising £4,081, split between the two charities.
A group of cyclists then completed the London to Brighton bike ride, which raised a further £2,041 for EllenorLions Hospices.
Andy Ratcliffe, senior design manager at Willmott Dixon, met representatives from EllenorLions and Dartford Fire Station on Friday (March 4) to hand over the money raised.
