FIREFIGHTERS had to cut a woman out of her car this afternoon (March 5) after it overturned in Gravesend.

The Thameside fire station was called at around 11.40am to reports of a road traffic collision.

It is believed the woman, around 30-years-old, had mounted a roundabout at the end of a slip road from the A2 towards Wrotham Road in Gravesend.

Two fire engines and around 12 firefighters attended the scene and released the woman from her car.

They left the scene by 1pm.

The woman was treated by ambulance staff.
