THE former manager at Bexley’s flagship Thames Innovation Centre has been charged with offences involving indecent images of children
Richard Edwards, aged 42, who recently resigned as the centre manager, was charged by Bexley police with eight offences on January 25.
He was arrested at the centre in Veridion Park Way, Thamesmead, on June 3 last year, and had been on police bail ever since.
Officers removed items of computer equipment from the centre at the time of his arrest.
Mr Richards faces one charge of possession of an indecent image of a child and seven charges of making indecent photographs/pseudo images of a child.
He appeared before Bexley magistrates on February 3 and is now awaiting committal for trial at Woolwich Crown Court.
The innovation centre, which acts as a business “nursery”, with support and facilities for up-and-coming new businesses, is owned by Bexley Council.
