A MENTAL health nurse suspected of starting fires at a block of flats in Biggin Hill has appeared in court.

Oyeronke Oluwatayin Adigun appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court yesterday, charged with arson with intent to endanger life, arson recklessly endangering life, and criminal damage to property.

The 47-year-old, of Campshill Road in Lewisham, was remanded in custody until her trial begins at Woolwich Crown Court on Tuesday.

She is accused of starting a blaze at the main entrance to flats near Biggin Hill Library in Main Road and in the bin area in the underground car park on February 21.

Firefighters from Biggin Hill and Addington took around 90 minutes to deal with the blazes.
