A TALENTED teenage singer songwriter has reached the regional finals of a music competition which could help her realise her dreams.
Melyssa Amorim, 14, lives with her parents and younger sister in Upper Wickham Lane, Welling, and has been interested in music since her parents moved to the USA when she was five.
As well as singing and composing, she also plays the guitar and is currently a pupil at Welling School.
She will be performing next month at the regional finals of the Live and Unsigned competition in Basildon, in the hope of reaching the finals at the 02 arena.
Melyssa who was born in Japan but has also lived in Brazil, has been living in the Uk for the past three years.
