FOUR intrepid staff members from a commercial property consultants will be taking part in one of the toughest obstacle course events in the country, to raise cash for Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice.

Paul McAlister and Andrew Pryke, both 31, Rob Austen, 38 and 24-year-old Henry Fellows employees of Jones Lang LaSalle, have signed up for this year’s Tough Guy Challenge which will take place on January 30 near Wolverhampton.

More than 5,000 people from across the world are expected to take part in the event, dubbed “the world’s hardest endurance test”.

The annual challenge lasts around five hours, navigating a punishing set of obstacles including water, fire and tunnels and featuring knee deep freezing mud.

Sub-zero temperatures before Christmas provided the quartet with the ideal training conditions.

The four have so far raised more than £1,300 but hope to reach at least £2,000 which will be split between the hospice and Help the Heroes Sanctuary.
