A BEXLEY church will begin “16 days of love” as it hosts a series of free events around Valentine’s Day to bring the church into the community.

The project has been organised by the vicar of St Paul’s Church in Mill Road, Northumberland Heath, the Rev Captain Geoff Clarke.

The fun begins on February 1 with games, crafts, a bible story and hot meal aimed at primary school children.

The following days will feature coffee and cake with the daily papers, a social event for families with children who have a disability or special needs, a talk on park and garden birds, a men-only night, a lunch for the bereaved, litter picking in the local area and a cabaret night out.

To find out more and details of how to take part, go to stpaulsnorthumberlandheath.org.uk or call the church on 01322 332809.
