LOTS of local projects have received Lottery awards since the National Lottery was created in 1994.
More than £25 billion has been given away to help good causes.
And for the past seven years the National Lottery has been running its annual National Lottery Awards to reward projects who have used their Lottery grant to transform a community or people’s lives.
Now organisers want to hear from local people who would like to nominate a project for this year’s awards.
Nominations can be made to one of seven categories - sport, heritage, arts, environment, health, education and voluntary/charity.
Entries close on February 18 and the winners will receive a cash prize of £2,000 to spend on their project.
If you would like to know more, or to nominate a project, go to lotterygoodcauses.org.uk or call 020 7960 6828.
