THE JURY in the trial of a Gravesend man accused of murder has retired to make its verdict.
Thirty-five-year-old Baljinder Singh Kooner of Astra Drive, Gravesend, is on trial for murdering 31-year-old Kamaljit Kalon, known as Bobby, at Gordon Promenade, Gravesend, in July 2003.
Kooner is the second person to be charged with the crime after Guljinder Singh Gurewal, aged 34, was charged in December 2007 and pleaded guilty.
He was given a life sentence in September 2008.
Kooner told jurors ar the Old Bailey that he had not intended to hurt him.
