A SUSPECT who tried wrapping himself in a tarpaulin and another who hid under a truck to avoid arrest are being questioned at Bromley police station.

Both men were found at Southern Motor Factors, Lower Gravel Road, Bromley, at around 10.55pm yesterday (January 19).

One of them was bitten by a police dog while trying to escape before the pair from St Mary Cray, aged 22 and 20, were both arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.

The 20-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of not paying a fine at Bromley Magistrates’ Court after he arrived at the police station.
