AN injunction has been granted by the High Court in London preventing a planned two day strike on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) going ahead tomorrow.

The strike, voted for by workers from the RMT union, was due to a dispute over working hours, redundancies and pensions.

However, operator Serco Docklands today released a statement confirming that RMT members would not be striking and services tomorrow and Friday would be running as normal.

The injunction was granted on the basis of technical issues with the ballot process.

Serco managing director David Stretch said: “We are pleased the law is on our side in this yet we remain committed to working with employees and their representatives to address the outstanding issues.”
