ORGANISERS celebrating this summer’s royal wedding or planning events in 2012 have just months to let the council know.

The Olympics, Paralympics, and Queen’s Diamond Jubilee next year means that public and emergency services must plan ahead.

Greenwich Council has set a deadline of March 31 for organisers to tell them about any 2012 event from fetes to sporting tournaments.

The council also wants to know about your celebrations for Kate and William’s big day.

Greenwich Council’s cabinet member for culture and Olympics, Councillor John Fahy, said: “We want to ensure the plethora of planned events can go ahead safely and we need to start planning now.”
