BEXLEY Conservative Future - the youth voice of Tories in the borough - has hit out against violence on the borough's buses.

Its deputy chairman, Councillor David Leaf, says many of the borough's young people using buses were the victims of muggings, assaults and happy slapping incidents.

Bexley Conservative Future chairman Councillor Matthew Scott said: "Tougher action is required to stamp out yobs on public transport.

"There needs to be stronger punishment for those who offend."

The group will take its concerns to Bexley London Assembly member Bob Neill.
