A FORMER police constable has pleaded guilty to making and distributing indecent images of children.

Jordan Janssen of Maryon Grove, Charlton appeared at Southwark Crown Court on December 15.

He pleaded guilty to one count of distributing indecent images of children and one count of making 183 indecent films and images of children.

The 37-year-old is due to be sentenced on January 28.

Officers from the Met’s Paedophile Unit arrested Janssen on July 15 after he was identified via online investigation.

DI Noel McHugh, from the unit said: “This result demonstrates that those who are engaged in the production and distribution of indecent images of children will be discovered, no matter who they are.”

Janssen resigned from the Metropolitan Police Service later that month, having previously worked as a PC in Lambeth borough.
