A MUM-OF-THREE lit up her house this year to help fight the disease that killed her father.
Susan Covington, of Westhorne Avenue, Eltham, covered her house in lights with the help of her two daughters to encourage donations to The Prostate Cancer Charity.
Ms Covington’s dad Walter Hanmore died aged 81 from the illness earlier this year.
The 57-year-old says she knew nothing about the disease until tragedy struck and was shocked at the number of young men she saw in hospital waiting for treatment.
She explained: “I don’t mind how much people donate even if it’s only 10p.
“People have got husbands and sons and they need to know about this.”
She has two boxes for donations outside her house.
