THINGS are loo-king up for a Catford bingo club after receiving recognition for its toilets.
Mecca Bingo, on Plassy Road, won a five star rating for its loos from the British Toilet Association and is in with a chance of being named Loo of The Year.
Toilets were judged on cleanliness, hygiene equipment including toilet paper and hand dryers, air quality, decor and changing facilities.
Manager Kieran Simmonds said: “Receiving an award for our toilets is definitely a first for us.
“It must have been the toilet doors with iconic images on which swung it for us, and of course being spotlessly clean.”
The Loo of the Year awards take place on December 3 at Chesford Grange Hotel in Birmingham.
