ONE of Orpington's oldest community facilities has been reborn for the 21st century.
The new village hall in the high street boasts two halls, a private meeting room and a kitchen and will be available to hire.
It is on the first floor of a five storey development which also includes a restaurant and flats.
The Orpington Village Hall is the third building to bear the name since the Orpington Village Hall Trust (OVHT) was set up in 1896.
OVHT chairman Mike Smart said: “The first two village halls were part of the fabric of local life for more than a century.
“This new building will be a fantastic asset for the area and is perfect for community groups and functions.”
