A 16-YEAR-OLD stabbing victim has been released from hospital and then arrested following last week’s incident at Woolwich Arsenal station.

The teenager is the eight youth to be arrested in connection with the attack on September 29.

Police were called to the scene at 8.10pm following reports of an assault on board a train.

It is believed an altercation took place between two groups on the 7.46pm service from Dartford to Cannon Street resulting in the 16-year-old being stabbed in the abdomen.

All eight youths have been bailed to return to a south London police station in December.

Officers are continuing to conduct enquiries to establish a full picture of the circumstances, including looking at what took place before, during and after the incident.

Anyone with information should call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
