BARNEHURST: Golf course staff traumatised in knifepoint robbery


A GOLF course has been robbed of its takings by three masked men.

Two staff were locking up in the early hours at Barnehurst Golf Course in Mayplace Road East, Barnehurst, when they were approached approached by the men who were wearing balaclavas and armed with knives.

There was a struggle and one woman injured her nose as a knife was put to her throat.

The women were forced back into the club where the robbers made them hand over £5,000 in takings.

The robbers also took the keys to one of the women’s cars to make their getaway.

The missing car is a silver Renault Clio, registration OE54 GMX.

The robbery happened at around 12.40am on September 5.
