AN HISTORIC lido is to be reopened during the school summer holidays.
Charlton Lido in Shooters Hill Road, Charlton, has been shut for 12 months but will once again see residents young and old splashing around from July 24 to August 29.
Family sessions will take place between 10.30am and 1.30pm, with afternoon sessions open to all.
The lido’s main pool is 165ft long and 66ft wide, with the depth varying from 2ft 6ins to 9ft.
It was opened in May 1939 and is one of only three remaining lidos in south-east London.
