A BUS company is celebrating receiving a £625,000 cash pot to be invested over the next three years.

Kent Thameside’s Fastrack fleet, which runs from Dartford to Gravesend via Bluewater shopping centre, is to use the money to increase the frequency of services and improve facilities at Ebbsfleet International train station.

The announcement of the government funding coincides with Fastrack’s fourth anniversary.

Fastrack project manager David George said: “Economic conditions meant that last year was challenging for the UK bus industry but Fastrack numbers have held up and are now starting to grow again.”

The bus company, based in London Road, Northfleet, currently has a fleet of 23 buses.
