N-DUBZ’S biggest fan has come away with renewed hope about her upcoming operation after meeting her heroes.

Charlotte Croydon, from Orwell Close, Greenmeadow, was treated to a meet and greet and photoshoot with the three artists before the group’s ‘awesome’ performance at the Oasis Leisure Centre last night.

The 12-year-old, who visited the hip-hop artists with her parents Denise and Peter, will be heading to Bristol Children’s Hospital on April 26 for her fourth major life-saving operation – since she was born with DiGeorge Syndrome.

The disease, which affects about one in 4,000 births, can cause heart defects and problems with her immune system.

During her 30 minutes with the trio she was kissed on the cheek by Dappy, her favourite member, and even managed to model the group’s jewellery for a number of Adver photos.

And after the N-Dubz’s soundcheck she was even taken around their tour bus. According to Charlotte she almost fell over after trying on Dappy and Fazer’s chains and crosses because of their sheer weight.

The Isambard pupil, who also attended the show with her mum, said: “I almost collapsed they were so heavy it was unbelievable.”

Her father Peter said she was “over the moon” after having met her idols, including the female singer Tulisa.

He said: “We met all three and they were really great, we did have to pay £300 for the meeting, and that was hard to do because we think that money should go to the children’s hospital.

“But at the end of the day they were great to us.

“Charlotte was absolutely over the moon about the entire thing. I am going to try and get the money back from their manager in order to donate it to the Bristol hospital.

“Hopefully they see it our way.”

Because of the surgery, intended to elongate a artificial tube in Charlotte’s heart, she will be missing three weeks of school.

But her mum said the concert boosted her spirits.

She said: “Even though she is tiny, she makes up for it with her love for life and her family, especially the family pet dog Dexter.”
