POLICE are still hunting the arsonist responsible for setting fire to a car while it was being towed away in Shortlands.
According to police, a silver Renault Clio was being loaded onto the back of a recovery lorry near Shortlands railway station last Wednesday when it was deliberately set alight.
Officers are now investigating and say they are looking for three men aged 17 to 20 who were seen by the car before the fire.
One of the suspects is described as 5ft 2in tall with short dark hair. He was wearing jeans and a grey and black shirt.
Another suspect was wearing a hooded top and jeans.
The car was apparently firebombed after it was clamped for being illegally parked in Nightingale Court, Valley Road.
As it was being towed away witnesses say a man opened the driver's door and threw something inside before the car was engulfed in flames.
He then fled the scene on foot.
Fire crews had the blaze under control within 45 minutes and, along with the car, the recovery lorry was left damaged by the flames.
Anyone with information on the arson attack should call Bromley Police on 01689 891212.
