FIREFIGHTERS suspect a car fire in Plumstead last night was started deliberately.
A crew from Woolwich fire station was called to Camdale Road at around 12.15am to tackle a burning Volkswagen Bora.
The car was completely destroyed in the blaze and a firefighter who visited the scene said the fire was "definitely started deliberately".
The road runs between Woolwich Cemetery and playing fields.
