A PIRATE ship, ball pit and climbing wall are just some of the features of a nursery’s new activity play area.
Parents of pupils at Woodview Nursery in Main Road, Longfield, raised £7,000 to transform an unused quad area into a place for the children to play.
During the last year money was raised by organising discos, sports days, a summer fete and raffle.
Nursery head Leslie King said: “All of the staff and children are delighted with the new activity area and are very grateful to all of the parents who have made it possible.”
Next the nursery, which caters for 30 children aged three to five with severe and complex needs, plans to build an eco garden and get an outdoor sun shade.
