A HOMEOWNER is throwing in a free Ferrari with the sale of his house.

Mike Odysseas, from Durham, felt his home was not standing out enough by being advertised through a selling agent, so he has decided to give his sports car to the lucky buyer.

He said: "It's a marketing ploy really. If my home was up for sale in the usual way I would have as much chance as every other seller. This way lets me gain a bit more interest from potential buyers."

Mike has put his home a four-bedroom town house near Durham city centre on the market for £367,000 and claims despite the addition of the Ferrari, this figure still proves excellent value for money.

He said: "The home is on a new Barratt development and similar houses on the estate are going for £383,000. I've just been lucky the home has increased significantly in value since I bought it so will still make a profit by giving the car away with the sale.

"Everyone says I am crazy but if giving my beloved Ferrari away is what it takes to sell the house then that's fine."

Mike has moved into his new home and is currently letting out the home for sale. The buyer will take over the tenant as well, meaning an income of £1,477 per month for the next 16 months.
