MILLENNIUM Dome bosses are giving youngsters the chance to lay the foundations for the future of the new-look attraction.
AEG Europe, which is turning the Dome into a major entertainment and sporting arena, wants to invite schoolchildren to witness its transformation.
Last month pupils from Crown Woods School, Riefield Road, Eltham, helped to lay bricks at the entrance to the attraction.
More than 600 primary school children have also visited the Dome to see work on the building and play their part in its new era.
AEG president David Campbell says the visits give youngsters a "unique opportunity" to get involved with the project.
He added: "Involving young people in the building of the Dome gives practical support to their learning."
The Dome is due to open next summer as The O2, under a deal between AEG and the mobile phone giant.
