TRAVEL MOVE: London Mayor Ken Livingstone has announced the abolishion in September of bus and tram fares for under-18s in full-time education. People will need to apply for a 16/17-year-old's Oyster photocard to qualify for free travel. All 16 and 17 year olds can still apply for half-fare reductions on adult-rate Oyster fares, travelcards and Tube-only season tickets.

DRAG NET: Bromley police have relaunched their website. The site, met.police.uk/ bromley, contains full details of all the borough's Safer Neighbourhood Teams, details of the structure of Bromley police and the latest news and appeals as well as crime prevention advice. It also has a facility to report non-emergency crimes.

TOP CARE: Bromley Hospitals Trust has been named one of the top 40 performing hospitals in the UK for the second year. The study was done by independent analysts CHKS. Hospitals are judged on clinical effectiveness, efficiency and patient/carer experience.
