A HOMELESS Baptist church held a spring fair to help raise funds to put a permanent roof over its head.
For 14 years the 40-strong congregation at Riverview Baptist Church has met in Riverview Scout and Guide Headquarters, Whinfell Way, Gravesend.
Members of the church, which is part of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Windmill Street, Gravesend, have not decided on a property or how much is needed.
The community was invited to join churchgoers in enjoying cream teas, quizzes, games and competitions at the Christopher Centre, The Alma, Riverview Park.
Treasurer Tony Mills said: "We want a permanent base as a lot of people say they do not know we are here."
