A REQUEST from Down Under has intrigued a resident who received it.

Finance manager Linda Logue is appealing for help from News Shopper readers after receiving a letter from Graeme Hodgkiss.

Sydney resident Mr Hodgkiss is trying to track down his old pal Ken Richards, who lived in Mrs Logue's house more than 50 years ago.

Mr Richards, who was a teacher in the Bexley area during the late 1950s, and Mr Logue shared a flat in Sidcup from 1957 to 1958.

Mr Hodgkiss later returned to his native Cape Town. The pals then lost touch completely when he emigrated to Australia.

Mrs Logue, 57, of Old Farm Avenue, Sidcup, said: "The letter was so out of the blue and I was shocked but I couldn't just ignore it. I had to at least try and unite the two again."
