YOU know you're watching a good band when you become so absorbed in the music you feel you could listen all night and be happy with your own company.
That's how I felt watching Heymaker perform.
When I walked into Dartford's Bull n' Vic Hotel the atmosphere was already highly charged even though the boys were still setting up.
The band had an air about them which said: This is us and this is our sound', which I found arrogantly sexy.
The indie-rockers opened their set with Out Of Control and accordingly, the crowd soon were.
They played nine self-penned songs, including their catchy debut single Here Today. Their music is a volley of rib-busting punches.
Heymaker, with originality, talent and determination on their side, are a band to watch out for.
Heymaker play the Amersham Arms, New Cross, on May 13, 9.30pm.
The band are also playing Lark in the Park, Barnard's Park, Islington, London, June 15, on stage at 8pm.
