Bexley Council sought residents' views well over a year ago regarding moving the bus stops along Pickford Lane, Bexleyheath, apparently to make the road 'more streamlinesd' and the stop would be less noticeable.
We opposed the move, as we have difficulty reversing out of our drive on to Pickford Lane anyway, let alone having the bus stop moved right against the wall to obscure our view completely.
We heard no more until we arrived home from work recently to find painted yellow 'bus stop' lines written right across the drive.
Not only has this somewhat devalued our property, but it has led to immense inconvenience when trying to get in or out of our own driveway!
'Our' bus stop seems to be a haven for waiting drivers to kill time, causing no end of problems for us.
Surely some thought should have gone into it and what a waste of paint! Haven't Bexley Council got anything better to do with our council tax money?
