House Husbandry - Joy or Sorrow Part 2. A month has gone by and I have only just got around to blogging Part 2 of this never-ending saga!

At least I know I have one reader, and in answer to The Missus, yes, dogs and bunnies can bring joy.

Bunnies are very undemanding - keep them cleaned out and fed, and give them a run in the garden, that is all they ask. In return, watching them can be very relaxing, and amusing.

On one sunny day last week one of our two was to be found sunning herself on top of the hutch, completely stretched out, only changing position if she became too hot. Great life!

The dog, well, he needs feeding, walking, and clearing up after him. Yes, I do carry the bag to remove his mess, unlike some. In return, loyalty, affection, amusement, and some good exercise. He's not keen on rabbits, unless they're in a pot, but he hates foxes more, so frantic barking at 2am indicates he is scaring off the fox after the rabbits.

But I digress, back to house husbandry. Cleaning! Like washing and ironing, a non-stop task. Keeping everything tidy during the week, and a fully-fledged clean on Friday. Soul destroying of course - why can't anybody put things away, and why do all flat surfaces atrract junk?

Finally, there are the two out-of-bounds rooms. Those belonging to Kevin and Paris. It has been said Kevin's room is like a pigsty, which is very unfair to pigs! Venturing into his room is a major event, you never know if you will get out, but every so often a four-hour clean makes it presentable for 10 minutes.

Being a girl you would think Paris would be better, and she is slightly, but she does have a problem finding the wardrobe, or drawers to put clothes in. Perhaps we should get her eyes tested?

Finally on cleaning, Aggie and Kim are correct, a damp duster, no polish really works, as does a wonderful invention called an Eco cloth. Just the cloth and water, and you have a perfect no-smear glass cleaner. I can heartily reccommend one.

By now I can hear yawning in the background, and perhaps even The Missus is feeding the cat. So I'll finish with shopping, and leave cooking to Part 3.

Shopping! Hate every minute of it! Go armed with a list, try to get round in the shortest possible time, but always come up against obstacles.

Other shoppers who seem incapable of controlling a trolley, or stand chatting completely blocking the aisle. Politely ask them to move, and they become deaf, and when they do move the scowl says it all.

Then there are the shelf fillers, although the shelves are still empty and worst of all the home shoppers, filling up baskets for online shoppers. Perhaps I should try that?

Then they insist in moving goods around so you can't find them, and the final obstacle - the checkout queue. Shopping - no pleasure at all, so with cleaning we have two more for sorrow.

Next time cooking, if indeed anybody can be bothered to tune in! Hasta la vista! Don't know what it means but sounds good, and must keep up with the Spanish lady. Perhaps I can ask Kevin when he's awake for some Latin!
